Safe Brake Control - SBC
Note: Using the SBC function while running the motor may damage the brake due to mechanical stress. During normal operation, it is recommended to activate STO-SBC after the motor has come to a halt, e.g. by using SS1 instead of STO.
This is a function mentioned in IEC 61800-5-2. This function provides a safe output signal to control an external brake.
-
In stand-alone mode, SBC can only be used together with STO
-
SBC can be activated separately via FSoE
-
The time delay between SBC and STO can be configured via object 0x6661:1 Brake time delay.
-
SBC can not be mapped to a digital input
-
SBC is always activated first when used in combination with STO
