Heat dissipation

For correct functioning, the node must be installed on a sufficiantly dimensioned heat conducting surface made of a suitable material, such as aluminum.

Ensure that the node is screwed properly to the heat conducting surface to facilitate the heat transfer.

Please ensure to use as much of the available thread length as possible for tightening the Servo Node to prevent damage to the thread.

Interference with magnetic fields

Please consider the placement of the Servo Node carefully when designing the motion control application. It has become evident that the motor’s magnetic field has an impact on the Node’s performance.

These are the preferred arrangements:

  1. At any position but shielded with a Faraday’s cage
  2. Behind the motor
  3. Beside the motor but shielded from the motor’s magnetic field with a plate consisting of a magnetic shielding material such as steel or Mu-Metal.
